However, all of our care team professionals are meet rigorous requirements in relevant specialty areas e.g., women’s health, sex therapy and/or couples counseling. They also pass our criminal and background checks, and have years of experience so you’re provided with the best advice, support and care.
What does that actually mean?
It means that each and every team pro is a rockstar. They have undergone hundreds, if not thousands, of hours of rigorous training and work experience.
- Master’s or PhD in Counseling or Therapy
- 2+ years of private practice, focused on relationship, sex, and/or dating
- 90+ hours of educational study on relationships and/or sex
- 60+ hours of educational study on therapeutic practice & techniques (vs. theory)
- 2+ trainings on Sexual Attitude Reassessment (SARs)*

For sex therapists, sex educators and medical professionals, we accept certification by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). For relationship therapists, we accept certification by American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT).

Rachel Mark, LMSW, M.Ed. is a therapist and sexologist in private practice in Paris, France. She holds a Masters of Social Work from Hunter’s Silberman School of Social work in New York City and a Masters of Education in Humans Sexuality from Widener University in Pennsylvania. Rachel is currently completing her dissertation for her doctorate, also in Human Sexuality. Working with a wide range of relationship and sexuality-related presenting concerns, Rachel’s passion is helping her clients understand themselves more deeply in order to find fulfillment in their lives both individually and with their partner(s).
Jenni Skyler, PhD, LMFT, CST is an AASECT certified sex therapist, board certified sexologist, and a licensed marriage and family therapist. She has been the Director of The Intimacy Institute for sex and relationship therapy in Boulder, Colorado for over six years. She holds a doctorate in Clinical Sexology and a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology & Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked in the field of sexual health as a therapist, educator, and public health consultant since 2005. Dr. Jenni has been featured in 5280 Health 2014, Shape.com, Women’s Health and Buzzfeed. She is has been an expert speaker and workshop presenter locally and nationwide.
Ariel Lewis, RN, BSN is a Registered Nurse and advocate for all facets of women’s health. Through her work, she aims to help women make safe, shame-free sexual and reproductive health decisions by normalizing discussion and empowering them with up-to- date research. She has had the honor to work as a birth doula assisting women through labor and delivery, and has participated in and led multiple women’s health forums and initiatives. Ariel currently works in the emergency department at an academic medical center in Virginia. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Graduate Certificate in Publishing from the University of Denver and a B.A. in French from the College of William and Mary.
